I know there are a lot of health classes, seminars, opinions and such about how healthy you should be...what to eat and not eat. Sometimes it gets quite overwhelming...I have found that when I do what I know is right for me, I tend to follow my heart and not get so overwhelmed.
For many years, I was a victim of my environment and family tradition. I ate everything that ran across the ground; cows, pigs, chickens, rabbits, ducks whatever. That's all I knew, until one day I got sick and tired of being sick and tired...I educated myself. I changed! I changed my attitude, my diet and yes, some of my friends.
I began losing 'waste weight'. You know, those pounds that just seem to 'stick' to you? No matter how much you exercise--run, jump, ride the bike...those pounds just don't budge.
I was in the medical field for over 25 years. Needless to say, I saw a lot of sick people. Many from a lack of knowledge. I vowed that I didn't want to be like them. So I went on a quest to educate myself about getting healthy. I read my way to health, and changed my life style as well as exercise what I learned over the years. I feel so much better, and so free to be me.
